At the beginning of the game, Eden wakes up to find a secret garden in full. When shetrying to figure out how it got there and how to escape, she meets the owner of the garden: an angry-looking magic nymph. Apparently brought the nymph Eden, the garden so they could help maintain and grow. She was also warned that the last person tried to escape and "treated" had to be. There is still hope for Eden, however, the nymph promises to unlock the fifth goal and let Eden go, when they successfully managed to cultivate all 5 gardens.
The history of the fifth gate couldslightly cheesy (a magical nymph who is able, people who need help with hijack garden?), but the gameplay is refreshingly funny and innovative. The game is a mix of fast reflexes, strategic planning and the ability to make instantaneous decisions on benefits for most of the action provides for. Its unique properties make it quite different than most of the time games out there.
There are 5 gardens in the fifth gate, you need to complete each with aDozen quests (or levels) to progress. Each garden has a different theme of plants, including South America and even other topics. The game consists of two phases: the crops and planning phase. The harvest period is the time-management phase. You must be on the flowers when they sprout to harvest them, click on the plants when they need water, and then hold on to kill pests before they kill the plants. Each crop phase provides anlimited amount of time to get everything done before the phase ends. In addition, the amount of flowers you can harvest is the size of your storage environment, and the amount of plants that you water is limited by the amount of water is limited in your watering can.
The planning phase is where all the strategic decisions are made. Time stops at this stage, and you can plan slow, which is the most efficient thing to do. You can coins to refill your watering can, update the quantity of flowersYou can store, expand your garden or grow plants. But where do you get the coins to do all this? Every flower that you can be harvested to be sold for coins. However, a more profitable option would be to combine the flowers to create a variety of potions and then sell these potions. These potions will always net you more coins than the sale of individual blossoms.
In any garden, you begin as a rule with a kind of plant. After completing quests (earning generally containenough coins or collecting enough flowers, or get a drink) access to two other types of plants, and each of your plants will produce an upgrade to 3 different varieties of flowers. This is important because you need certain amounts of flowers to the special class to create your potions.
Here is good strategic planning skills are required. you must find out which potions you think are the most profitable for you. They are thenmust decide how many need from each plant in your garden, produce the required combination of flowers. Good planning is also required for the harvesting phase. Normally, the amount of flowers you can harvest is not limited by the number of plants in the garden, but have the amount of disk space. You need to prioritize, the flowers that you want to harvest and which to go should be ignored. For example, if you need to make Class 2 and Class 3 lavender roses to your bestDrink will become the flowers your top priority, and you should ignore other flowers, if your storage tank in the vicinity.
The fifth gate includes a unique blend of time management, reflex, strategy and planning elements. It can not be a completely original concept, but the various deviations from the typical time games make the game fresh and exciting. Overall, the Fifth Gate, as it is mixed genres and time management strategy gamequite successful and is a nice fun package.
