Just when you thought you have already played them all, including classic puzzle games still inspire innovation for their future colleagues. Color Cross is one such innovation, and this time it's a whole new twist to the classic game, Picross. The same addictive game play is retained, but with a completely new challenge, it is worth discovering.
Color Cross is the first release of the game French Casual Game Developer, Little WorldsStudio. As their first release, I'm really expected nothing extravagant, like most games that I write mostly. That's because I values reach high to be the production that is not, and with my experience with new development studio, I realize that they are more on the overall fun factor of the game, and without much visual treat served, not that the gameplay very much.
Anyway, let us a short summary of Picross rules because they are very much also for colorCross.
The goal of the game is completely color a single cell board by the number of references to its top and left edge. Top number give clues for each column and stained cells indicate those numbers on the page, colored cell for each row. For example, if there is a number "15" on the top, this means that 15 cells in a straight line on that particular column, you need shade. Other numbers on the row or column show separate cells that you need to shade,with at least a single cell in between them.
Color Cross adds a little twist to this simple game play, adding in more colors you need to use against the typical single-colored shadows in Picross. There are up to 8 colors, you have to mix and match in a plate, taking into account the guidance given to you in respect of a particular color. If this idea right, this basically means that by time you finish with a board, you will form a colored pixels of an image that makes an announcementgreat achievement, as you each stage stop.
