Mystery Case Files - Dire Grove Game Review

MCF: Dire Grove is the latest chapter in Big Fish Games' Mystery Case Files (MCF) series, with events in the game takes place after the return to the right Ravenhearst. Again, you take the role of master detective as you mysterious cases to which reports of the supernatural are still fighting.

MCF: Dire Grove begins with the detective (that's you!) Go back through the English countryside for the solution of the riddle in MCF: Ravenhearst to return. As youdrive, you will be a freak snow storm that so intense that your vision is obscured completely captured, and you are forced to stop in a remote village, next to the highway: Dire Grove.

As you approach the village, you will find an abandoned car along the street. Examine, come on scraps of paper and had awakened a videotape with disturbing information about a dark legend to life. As you progress further into the village, you can discover something at the beginningreally wrong here. The village seems abandoned, and learn more videos images shows a group of students of archeology, the Dire Grove had come to investigate an old Celtic legend dark. And from the looks of it, they found what they were looking for ...

The first thing you'll notice, when playing MCF Dire Grove is, that production for this game have values that went through the ceiling, much better than its predecessor already impressive! All art andMusic in the game are beautiful and fit the theme and the atmosphere brilliant. To enforce the atmosphere of a snow storm, you have snowflakes and flying leaves move around the screen.

What was striking was, for me, almost like cinema quality in the cutscenes. The intro scene and all the video clips show the archeology students and their misadventures are live-action shots. The acting is pretty decent, and the images have an almost Blair Witch-like quality to them. All this adds an extra dose of realism to the game, you draw as never before.

The gameplay of Dire Grove was developed from the basic hidden object game of the previous installments in the MCF series. This game is an adventure and exploration game first hidden object game play and puzzle elements thrown in. It does not get another to mindlessly run by a hidden object scene. Instead, you need to decide a bit of exploration and logic to useWhat should you do to achieve your goals and immediately prior to the action. The game is not very hard to solve even though most of the objects of interest will have an easy path to glory for your guide you along.

The Hidden Object scenes and the puzzles of this game appear as mini-games are both the standard you would expect from an MCF. The designs are clear and sharp, while the puzzles hard enough to get a moderate amount of thought and planning, but require not as difficult as to distract from the story or a stumbling block.

There are also puzzles that span over several scenes you could a crowbar or a bundle of nails in a scene to find and can not find a use for it until an hour or more later. There is also need barriers, manipulation of the scenes. For example, there's an object of interest on the top shelf in the garage. Well, what I can find in the area, can I use to achieve it?

As previously said the> Game has excellent production values, and is a full-fledged adventure puzzle game that you created is in for hours on end. What can one of the developers of the Mystery Case Files series, which is not expected to disappoint?
